Who is LinkColumbia for?
B2B or B2G business owners and senior/ C-level executives
Is there a fee for LinkColumbia, or do I need to join?
Neither. No fee, no membership, no obligation. However, we do request that you register for each event, so we can get a head count for space and appetizers.
What should I expect?
No Agenda
LinkColumbia will take place 5:00–7:00PM, once a month at the designated date and venue. It’s come as you are, arrive when you want, leave when you want. When you walk in the door, you’ll be ushered to the registration table to simply check in, drop a card in the bowl for the drawing, and get a nametag. At 6:00PM, we will have a few short announcements and draw a winner for the door prize. (There are some pretty doggone nice prizes, too!) Other than that, you’re on your own to enjoy meeting neighbors and making new contacts to maximize business opportunities.
Cash Bar
Buy your own drinks, but appetizers for tasty consumption are graciously provided by the
venue host!
What should I bring?
Bring a few buckaroos for a drink or three, some business cards, and a genuine smile.
Can I bring flyers and promotional brochures?
You may bring whatever you’d like to personally hand to others, however, we do not accommodate for a table of materials at these events. People are more inclined to shake your hand and receive a business card than to gather a bag full of handouts. Think networking, not trade show!
Can I bring a friend?
If your friend owns or runs a business, absolutely—and please have them register in advance, too. Note: please limit attendance to 2 representatives per company.
What if I don’t know anyone?
Great! You might do better in making new friends and contacts than those who only huddle with the people they already know.
Can I eat dinner there?
Please do! If you meet someone and decide to talk further over dinner, or want to call your main squeeze or family to meet you for dinner afterwards, go for it! We want to show our support to the restaurants who have graciously provided our venue as well as the good eats for our event!
What is a Sponsor of the Month, and how can my business be one?
A LinkColumbia Sponsor of the Month is a special business who is willing to donate the Give-Away drawing for that month’s event ($150-$200 value). For that, your business will be advertised as our Sponsor of the Month on the LinkColumbia email blast, the Event Registration web page, and the night of the event.
